A Legacy of Local Ownership
Sam’s Place Tavern was originally founded in 2008 by Jim and Donna White, the former owners who helped establish the welcoming, community-focused atmosphere that made the tavern a local favorite.
In 2024 Jim and Donna decided it was time to enjoy retirement, their legacy lives on today with new ownership, who continues to build on that strong foundation — delivering quality food, outstanding service, and the electric sports environment that makes Sam’s Place Eugene’s Premier Sports Bar.

Even though Sam’s Place Tavern is proudly located in Eugene, Oregon — home of the Oregon Ducks — and yes, we love the Ducks, we also proudly celebrate the full spectrum of Oregon sports culture.
